I am part of a subgroup created to study energy conversion and charge transfer processes of iron pyrite.  Our aim is to use the fundamental understanding that we gain to develop strategies for enabling pyrite as a solar absorber in photovoltaic cells.  The specific focus of my research is on molecular and solid-state surface passivation schemes.
