Research
I received my Ph.D in condensed matter physics from Peking University in 2005. My research focused on the Dilute Magnetic Semiconductor (DMS) nanowires and nano-device fabrication. As a postdoc I joined Song Jin’s group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to work on the properties of magnetic nanowires. My research interests center on spintronics device fabrication for spin injection and spin detection based on the transition metal silicide nanowires. I am working now to prepare half metallic nanowires with high electron polarization and develop a new method to detect the current polarization from nanowire field emission.
